Music and science fiction are often used as escapist entertainment. But they are also powerful ways for us to create community and imagine the future. In this panel, five authors and publishers talk about how music fits into their speculative writing about oppression and liberation. Topics will include alternate worlds, recreating lost histories, and building a revolution you can dance to.
Come hear about all this from me and these amazing panelists: Sarah Pinsker (A Song for a New Day), Amal El-Mohtar (“Seasons of Glass and Iron” and This Is How You Lose the Time War), Elizabeth Keenan (Rebel Girls), and Bill Campbell (Rosarium Publishing, Mothership: Tales from Afrofuturism and Beyond).
Event is free and open to all. RSVP here!
