		<description>the women who stay vs women who leave reminds me of some of the discussion around women in the trades.  back when i was an electrician, in the 1980&#039;s, it was staggeringly male-dominated.  i was a merit shop electrician, but something the (iirc) first woman to go thru the whole program in the local IBEW union local said really resonated for me -- there&#039;s pioneers, who manage to go there and be first, and there&#039;s settlers, who go there and stay.</description>
