@ Geoffrey: Apparently, the debate is whether BSG is good or bad for women. I’m saying it’s both.

@ Regis: Yes! We talked a LOT about Hannah on the panel. Apparently, she has a secret blog, too. Why the hell isn’t she on the show? They could play her up by getting rid of frakkin’ Psychic Cop, who is the lamest character ever.

alas, no wiscon for me.

one of “heroes” stronger female characters hasn’t been on the show — a fair bit of offscreen plot has been driven by hana, who has the magical ability to CONTROL TEH INTARWEBS. and also the SMS messages. otoh, she’s a kick-ass jew. (because all israelis are either mossad agents or ultra-conservative devout rabbinical types. nobody works as a barrista and gets high after work over there, apparently)

Okay, I have to ask: What is the debate about BSG in the feminist SF community? I know I could Google it… but I’m at work and don’t have time to (it is, after all, 5/25 now and both the 30th anniversary of Star Wars and Towel Day… busy day).
