Another episode of Cranky Geeks

Last week I went on Cranky Geeks with the always-amusing John Dvorak (currently obsessed with a duck-shaped keyboard vacuum) and media-jammer Jacob Appelbaum. We talked about the PS3 riots, geek gifts for the holidays (I plugged the Chumby, even though it’s not on sale), and what the hell is up with YouTube and the RIAA. Watch us be dorks!

The last time you were on Dvoraks’ show you talked about bittorrenting Dr. Who… This time you said the new BSG totally owns the Dirk Benedict version of BSG… If I were a girl I’d be swooning by now….

Just saw you on Cranky Geeks and had to check out your website. You were the most interesting guest in a while!

Then, I read your bio….what an interesting PhD dissertation! I’m currently working on my masters in literature, doing a paper on Superman’s decline in popularity in relation to the body modification culture among youth starting in the mid-80s and I just felt a sympatico. Ah, sweet sympatico. I dont even know what I’m saying. ;-)

Ok, seriously, I’m married but your new Cranky Geeks groupie. Get back on the show sometime! John needs you there to level him off! ;-)

The three panel members (you included) where great, but John Dvorak was not. In fact, he was a dick… like usual. He kept cutting you and Jacob off and freaked out at Jacob’s suggestion that we don’t need to obsess over consumer goods. The worst was his freak out everytime sex was mentioned. Between your hinting at the “real” use Wii controllers, and Jacob’s assertion that pornography (aka content) is important to a media format’s market longevity, I thought Dvorak was going to die…

Thanks, folks! I’ll definitely be back on Cranky Geeks, as long as they’ll have me.
